End of Summer Vines - pastel
Adams County Winery always invites the Mountain Valley Plein Air painters to paint at the winery each year. We paint in the morning and then take a break for lunch and a glass of wine. I painted this hillside with vines on a cool, breezy late summer afternoon. Painting with pastels, I used an underpainting of fluid acrylics to brighten the image of the late summer vines.
