Actually known around the world as "Chinese 5 Spice," this is an authentic traditional blend to be added to all your "red-cooked" dishes.
 
Oriental 7 spice blend gives the classic far-east flavor to all your piriental dishes: spareribes, roast duck, or pork, as well as stir fry vegetables with rise. Use sparingly at first and decide slowly how much to add.
 
Star anise is native to China. This spice has only recently become available tin the United States. It is entirely different from anise, except that they both contain similar essential oils. Related to the magnolia, the fruit is in the shape of an 8-pointed star.
