11x14 fiber painting
It's difficult to resist touching fiber art! If you just can't resist, please be gentle and use clean hands. Touching could displace carefully placed fibers. Touching might also transfer oils from your hand to the wool, providing dirt and dust a place to stick.
Please avoid placing your fiber painting in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight and UV rays can cause the wool and fabric to fade.
If your fiber painting gets dusty, turn the piece over and tap gently from the backside. A can of compressed air can also be used carefully - make sure to be at least 12 inches away as a forceful blast can move fibers.
Some insects, like moths and carpet beetles, are attracted to and eat natural fibers like wool. You can protect your fiber painting by adding a couple of drops of lavender essential oil to the frame or back of the piece.
